Perfect Your Grip

How do you hunt? Whether you 'palm' the mouse or 'claw' it, the Mad Catz R.A.T. 7 can quickly and easily adapt by adjusting in length to suit your hand size and grip style. In addition, the Thumb Panel moves forwards, backwards, and even pivots outwards to provide a comfortable platform from which all thumb buttons are easily accessible.

Lightweight Aluminum Chassis

Strong yet nimble, the solid metal frame forms the core of the Mad Catz R.A.T. 7 for enhanced rigidity.

True 6400 DPI Laser Sensor

The Mad Catz R.A.T. 7 Gaming Mouse’s new-generation 'twin-eye' laser sensor reads each axis separately and tracks up to a stunning six meters per second with pinpoint accuracy. Pro gamers who prefer low sensitivity with high movement speed will always experience correct tracking and precision.

Custom Weight System

Like it light or heavy? Maybe you change the weight to suit your game? No matter, the Mad Catz R.A.T. 7 has you covered. Add or subtract up to five 6-gram weights in an instant to obtain the perfect weight for a perfect feel.

Precision Aim Mode

Hit your target the first time every time. Use the included Mad Catz software to set your desired Precision Aim speed (mouse sensitivity), then hold down the Precision Aim button to slow down mouse movement to a level that works for you. You can even use the software to assign programmable features to the Precision Aim button, and then use it to execute keyboard commands like macros and keybindings - - a deadly weapon that will hit your enemy exactly where it hurts the most.

Take Control of Your Games

With the included programming software, you can create an unlimited number of profiles. For example, create a unique profile for each game or character, or for different builds (sniper, tank, healer, and more). Within each profile, you can customize you DPI settings, set Precision Aim sensitivity, create powerful macros and set keybindings. Each profile allows for 18 user-definable commands via six programmable buttons over three modes.

18 User-definable Commands via 3 Mad Catz Modes

Toggle between three individual Cyborg R.A.T. modes at the touch of a button. Change sensitivity or programmable button actions in an instant and gain immediate access to a mind-boggling 18 commands!

6 Programmable Buttons

Combine the programmable buttons with standard left and right mouse buttons and it all adds up to eight buttons with which you can punish your competition. Assign your choice of key gaming actions to programmable buttons to create your own custom profiles.

Customize Your DPI Settings

Four user-definable DPI settings range from 25-6400 in increments of 25 and the DPI button lets you easily cycle through your custom settings.

Interchangeable Pinkie Grips and Palm Rests

3 Pinkie Grips / 3 Palm Rests

  • One Pinkie Grip / One Palm Rest featuring the same soft-touch finish as found on the body of the Mad Catz R.A.T.
  • One Pinkie Grip / One Palm Rest with a rubber inlay for enhanced grip
  • One Pinkie Grip that offers a ‘wing shaped’ design, allowing you to rest your pinkie finger during play for increased grip
  • One Palm Rest that is 4mm thicker to increase the height of the R.A.T.

Which R.A.T. are You?

Get the R.A.T. that is right for you. The Mad Catz R.A.T. 7 Gaming Mouse is available in both matte and gloss black, racing red, and white.

Laser broken - 08/20/2015 16:38:29

Rating: 1 of 5 Stars! [1 of 5 Stars!]

Feels good in your hand

Laser broke 3 weeks after purchase

RMA process seems to work OK but it is limited and then if it expires, Customer Service ignores your emails. I haven't attempted to get a new RMA process, I will attempt today to ask Canada Computers to ship it for me. Curiously, when I went back to CComputer 24 days after purchase and asked them to ship to MadCatz in Mississauga they said they do not offer such a service but when I just checked their standard Product Warranty they do ship for free up to 90 days after purchase and then up to 1 year for a nominal fee, for mice it is $5.00. Going back to Canada Computers today looking for a freebie shipment otherwise this review will also include them sorry to say :(

Terrible Sensor - 11/02/2014 14:17:46

Rating: 1 of 5 Stars! [1 of 5 Stars!]

Good customizations to fit your hands.

Sensor is terrible. Overly sensitive, the mouse curser will jitter around with slight vibration or even just by left CLICKING regardless of dpi settings.

I own two T.A.T. 7 mouse, and both do the same thing. Bad sensor, bad quality. Highly recommend avoiding any R.A.T. The jittering is very frustrating.

Awesome mouse! - 10/13/2014 02:20:38

Rating: 5 of 5 Stars! [5 of 5 Stars!]

This mouse has a lot of customization options, length of palm rest, adjustable wideness, adjustable weight system and a choice of pinky style. She also has a resolution up to 6500DPI (that you can change on the fly), a precision aim button that can be configured to be another button via the software. In fact, all the buttons except the main right and left are fully configurable via the software and can also be set to trigger macro. You can also set up to three different button configuration switchable on the fly via the Cyborg logo on the R.a.t. 7.

It can take a while to get the perfect configuration for your own comfort preference considering all the customization options available.

This is simply the best mouse I ever own. I've been punishing this thing for more than 2 years now and she's still asking for more. This mouse at the 6500DPI resolution is a pure pleasure!
