Seems good so far - 02/17/2011 15:18:53
Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!]
Strength: not yet sure
Weakness: dead pixel and store policy
Summary: I heard a lot of good comments about the LG monitors from the tigerdirect website, so I finally decided to buy this monitor.
The store said it had three, but I bought two of them.
To make the story short, one of the two boxes had a sticker that said display, but supposedly it wasn't open. Got home and opened it and it was obvious that it had been used, I wasn't too concerned about it as it seemed to had all the parts, but when I turned it on there was a dead pixel RIGHT in the MIDDLE of the screen (as if it was a cross-hair for a first person shooting game).
Since I plan to keep the monitor for a long time and I really wanted two, I was willing to exchange it for the one in display (even though it had coffee stains), but they wouldn't give it to me because it had no box. So ended up returning the one with the dead pixel and charged for the restocking fee.
I guess it is good to pay for the $5 dead pixel insurance fee that they offer you, although it might sound like ripoff!
The one monitor that I do have looks really good! |
