With the evolution of cable standards, DOCSIS 3.0 will prove decisive for cable operators wishing to provide high bandwidth data delivery and to stay ahead of the content with game and video over IP delivery. With this new generation of High Speed Data Services Solution, Technicolor introduces up to eight (8) bonded downstream channels and four (4) bonded upstream channels, with a design backward-compatible for use as a single-channel with older networks without any service interruption. Thanks to the integrated dual split tuner solution, the operator will benefit from flexibility in channel allocation: to ease the management when the channel frequency plan is loaded or to separate data from other services such as video over IP.

I bought this modem 3 years ago for use with Teksavvy, and it has always worked well.

First modem in 17 years to die in a week - 01/01/2015 20:58:07

Rating: 1 of 5 Stars! [1 of 5 Stars!]

Worked great for 6 days on TekSavvy.

After only 6 days of use it continually factory resets on its own every 5 minutes and is pretty much useless now.

Looks like I am going to have to RMA it since all sales of this item are final with Canada Computers. I've been on DSL and/or Cable internet for 17 years now and never had an issue with any modem. My previous model, a Motorola SB501N worked great for 6 years but I needed to get this modem to be able to get the 30mb service from TekSavvy. I'm not impressed. BTW, had to tether through my cell phone to complete this review since the modem is basically a brick at this point.
