Strength:
- Quiet, near close to silent. When my system was having configuration issues initially and wouldn't post, I originally thought the PSU wasn't starting, because it was so quiet, but the motherboard LED told me otherwise.
- Seems to respond well to surges - my house wiring is rubbish and has a tenancy to surge power, but the supply has been fine for three weeks now.
- Haven't had it go anywheres near hot. Usually runs around room temperature
Weakness:
- Cable management with this PSU was a real huge pain. That's really where the money savings are, I suppose, other than the rating, compared to more modular power supplies.
Summary:
A very solid and silent PSU that runs cool. A good amount of bang for the buck if you don't mind a non-modular PSU. |
