Intel Gaming Laptop Giveaway

The “Canada Computers Intel Gaming Laptop Giveaway” (the “Initiative”) is promoted and offered by Intel Canada (“Intel”), based at 150 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M5S 2X9.

These Rules (including the Intel Privacy Policy and the www.intel.com Terms of Use) govern the Intel® “Canada Computers Intel Gaming Laptop Giveaway” Initiative and set out the terms and conditions between Intel and each participant (“Participant” or “you”). A submission to this Initiative constitutes your full and unconditional acceptance of these rules.

1. How to enter:  No Purchase necessary. Submit entry between 12:00 a.m. EST on March 13th, 2020  and 11:59:59 p.m. EST on April 26th, 2020 (“Initiative Period”) by the following method , each of which will count as [1] entry. During the Initiative Period, submit your entry by visiting our contest page by clicking ENTER NOW, enter your contact information and read and accept the Terms & Conditions. After such date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted. Organizers accept no responsibility for entries not received during the Initiative Period, regardless of the reason.

2. Eligibility: Initiative is open to all Canadian Citizens & legal residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, who have reached the legal age of majority in their province/territory.

Employees, officers and representatives (and members of their immediate families and those living in the same household of each) of Intel, or companies involved in the advertising and promotion of the Initiative (“Initiative Entities”) are ineligible.

3. Entry Requirements: Each Participant may only make one entry, consisting on her/his e-mail address. Participants must not enter more than one email address. Organizers reserve the right to verify Participant’s and winners’ entry and identity, and if Participants detect that a Participant or winner entered more than one email address, said person will be disqualified, and therefore not eligible to win.

4. Winner Selection: Submissions will be selected on April 29, 2020 by Canada Computers on their website. Sponsor with evaluate all eligible submissions based on the following criteria: The winner will be selected via random draw. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.

Sponsors’ decisions are final. You may withdraw your submission at any time by notifying Intel. If a submission is withdrawn your rights to win a prize are terminated.

5. Prizes: 2 winners will be selected. one (1) Prize will be awarded to each winner. Prize package, as of the date of the Incentive’s terms and conditions being issued, is valued at approximately $2099.00 CAD each. The Intel Powered Laptop is; (Item Code: LPASU00181 ) ASUS ROG Strix III Hero Gaming Notebook 17.3'' FHD Intel Core i7-9750H. Prizes characteristics are as follows:

a)      The winner must be 18 years or older

b)       None of the above benefits can be converted into cash.

c)       Limit of one prize per submission. Winners will be notified through the email they provided in communications related to this contest. The announcement and instructions for prize claim will be sent to directly to the selected Participant(s) within seven (7) of days from selection. The selected Participant(s) will also be required to sign and return to the Sponsor, within seven (7) days of the date notice is sent, a liability/publicity release in order to claim his/her prize. Each Participant is responsible for monitoring his/her email account for prize notification or other communications related to this contest. If after seven (7) days of the notification to the winner no acknowledgement or response is received the prize is forfeit, and Intel will select another winner.

No substitution or transfer of prizes is allowed. Prizes may not be redeemed for cash. If a prize becomes unavailable, impossible to be delivered, is prohibited by law, or the Event is cancelled, Intel may at its sole discretion award a substitute prize of equal or greater value.

Apart from prizes offered as part of the Initiative, no monetary compensation will be paid for any of your Initiative submissions.

6. Ownership and Publicity: Intel does not claim ownership of your submission to the Initiative; but by submitting an entry, you are granting Intel and its affiliated companies the following worldwide, nonexclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalties-free, unconditional, fully paid-up rights: (1) to make, have made, use, copy, reproduce, modify, and create derivative works of the contributions, (2) to publicly perform or display, import, broadcast, transmit, distribute (directly and indirectly through multiple tiers), license, offer to sell and sell, rent, lease, or lend copies of the contributions (and derivative works thereof), (3) to sublicense to third parties the foregoing rights, including the right to sublicense to further third parties, and (4) to publish your name or alias in connection with this Initiative and your contributions.

Participants understand and agree that their submission may be posted and publicly viewable. By providing a submission, you grant Intel and its affiliated companies the right, except where prohibited by law, to use your name for promotional purposes in promoting or publicizing the Initiative. Intel, however, does not have any obligation to use the winning entries for any purpose.

7. Participant’s Warrants: By submitting an entry you warrant that you:

- own or otherwise have all rights necessary for the submission and grant the rights described above, and you are not disclosing any information which would constitute a violation of a confidentiality obligation.

- your submission does not contain any viruses, worms, spy ware, or other components or instructions that are malicious, deceptive, or designed to limit or harm the functionality of a computer; and

- your contributions are not subject to license terms that require that any software or documentation incorporating or being delivered from your contributions to be licensed to others.

8. Intel’s Warranties and Disclaimers: Intel does not provide any warranty on the prize, and winner should look solely to manufacturer for warranty. To the fullest extent allowable by law, Intel specifically disclaims any representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the Initiative or the prizes

including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose and implied warranties arising from course of dealing or course of performance.

9. Release of Liability and Issues of Law: By participating, all entrants release Intel, its affiliates, partners, subsidiaries, officers, directors, agents, employees and all entities associated with the development and execution of this promotion from any and all liability with respect to and in any way arising from participating in this promotion, acceptance or use of prizes. Participants also agree that Intel, its affiliates, partners, subsidiaries, officers, directors, agents, employees and all entities associated with the development and execution of this promotion are not responsible or liable for any injury or damage to an entrant’s or third person’s computer related to or resulting from the Initiative, the submission and/or its prizes. Intel is not liable for damage to a user’s computer system (including, without limitation, any server failure or loss, delayed or corrupted data or other malfunction) due, either directly or indirectly, to an entrant’s participation in the Initiative or downloading of information related to the Initiative. Intel reserves the right to modify or cancel the Initiative in the event that any portion of any website used to administer any aspect of the Initiative becomes technically corrupted.

Intel assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. Intel is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Intel on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the internet or at any person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Initiative or downloading any materials in this Initiative.

All local laws and regulations are applicable. The courts of Toronto, Ontario, Canada shall have sole jurisdiction of any controversies regarding the Initiative. Canadian laws shall govern the Initiative. Each Participant waives any and all objections to jurisdiction and venue in those courts and hereby submits to the jurisdiction of those courts. The Initiative is void where restricted or prohibited by law.

10. General Provisions: Intel may make changes to these Rules at any time without notice. The most current version of the Rules and the winners’ list will be available at [enter URL for Rules]. Contributing to the Initiative or accepting prizes will constitute acceptance of the revised rules. These Rules prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials.

If, for any reasons beyond Intel’s control (including, but not limited to, tampering or computer virus infection), the Initiative is not capable of running as originally planned, Intel, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to cancel or modify the Initiative, without liability. Intel will not be responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, or illicit submissions, or for Internet, computer hardware and software, phone, and other technical errors, omissions, malfunctions, and delays. Entries are void if they contain typographical or other errors. All Participants agree to comply fully with each provision in these rules. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way may tamper with this Initiative and any person who does not comply with these Rules, will be ineligible for any prize(s) and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Also, Intel will not be responsible for its failure to perform its obligations under the Initiative due to causes beyond its reasonable control such as Force Majeure or Acts of God, such as fire, theft, war, riot, embargoes, pandemic disease, or acts of civil or military authorities, terrorism, earthquake, flooding, etc. If such circumstances arise, then Intel will immediately notify Participants in writing.

This Rules have been prepared in English. In case of discrepancies, the English version will prevail.
