I've been using these 8tg Baracuda drives for years now with no disappoint. I'm unfortunately a virtual hoarder and am always needing more space. It's always a great value, especially when on sale!

I bought this for my media server, and it works wonderful. I also used it for a few games and it also handles those rather well. Would recommend for anyone needing large amounts of storage.

within 6 months the drive failed.
i sent the drive in for warranty, which cost me $30.
after that, they sent me a replacement drive. which cost me $25 in duty.
the replacement drive they sent me is also defective.
i then had to contact seagate again about the issue, just for them to tell me that it will cost me another _$50 to warranty this drive, and that they could not guarantee that the replacement i receive will also not be defective because they do not test warranty replacement drives.
