Price vs Durability

Go buy a WD hard drive instead, the discount will not be worth it the end, I will never buy another Seagate hard drive.

It does what it's supposed to and it's cheap.

This drive is good for two things. It's good as a mass storage archive and for holding a media library. If that's what you want it for, there's nothing better out there when the price is taken into account. Sure, there are faster drives but once your data is written to the drive, its speed becomes irrelevant. You might spend several hours in the beginning writing your data to this drive but that's a tiny fraction of how long you'll be using this drive for. For any application that requires a high level of performance, this is not the drive that you want or need. I actually logged in to order another one but I figured that I'd type up a review of the one that I already have because it's been one of the greatest computer bargains that I've ever bought.
