Overview
Provide professional-grade electrical protection against power surges and spikes for computers and electronics using the white Home Office SurgeArrest 8-Outlet Surge Protector with USB Charging from APC. This unit has eight NEMA 5-15R outlets, three of which are spaced to accommodate larger transformer plugs, and a standard NEMA 5-15P input connection. It uses an input voltage of 120V @ 50/60 Hz with a 15A input/line current, and has a surge energy rating of 2160 joules. There are also two integrated USB Type-A charging ports that provide a total of 2.4A / 5V for devices such as smartphones and tablets. This SurgeArrest model utilizes an integrated 6' power cord and turns on and off using a recessed power switch. Protection is provided by a limited lifetime warranty, and connected equipment that is damaged while the SurgeArrest is active will be covered up to $150,000, subject to APC's terms and conditions.
2 x USB Type-A Charging Ports (2.4A / 5V)
A total of 2.4A / 5V is provided for simultaneously charging mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets.
Right-Angle Plug
A 90° plug angle allows for equipment and furniture to be placed closer to the wall than with a standard power cord. This also reduces cord stress.
Catastrophic Event Protection
SurgeArrest components such as MOVs and thermal fuse help ensure an instantaneous reaction to lightning strikes and wiring faults. If the surge components are damaged due to power spikes or over voltage, excess power cannot reach your equipment. Unlike the APC SurgeArrest products, most surge suppressors continue to let power through even after circuits have been damaged, leaving your equipment exposed to other damaging surges.
Fail-Safe Mode
Most other surge suppressors continue to let power through even after their circuits have been damaged, leaving your equipment exposed to future surges. With APC's SurgeArrest fail-safe, once the circuit of an APC SurgeArrest has been compromised, the unit disconnects equipment from the power supply, helping to ensure that no damaging surges reach your equipment.
Protection Working Indicator
SurgeArrest will warn you if its circuitry has been damaged by a heavy strike or power line surge and it is unable to provide 100% protection. If still under warranty, APC will then replace your damaged SurgeArrest free of charge.
Building Wiring Fault Indicator
This LED informs users of potentially dangerous wiring problems in the wall circuit.
Adjustable Cable Management
Keeps cords and cables neat and organized.
Receptacle Shock Safety Shutters
Shutters help protect users from accidental contact with unused outlets.
Transformer Block Spacing
Connect bulky transformer block plugs without covering up other outlets.
180° Rotating Cord Retainer
A 180° rotating cord with strain relief offers flexibility in positioning the SurgeArrest and in routing the power cord.
Noise Filtering
Attenuates EMI/RFI line noise that can cause data errors and keyboard lockups, helping to ensure better performance of protected equipment.
