Overview
The GLXD14/WL185 Lavalier Wireless System from Shure includes a GLXD1 bodypack transmitter, a GLXD4 receiver, and a WL185 cardioid lavalier microphone. The system operates on the 2.4GHz ISM band in the Z2 frequency band between 2400 and 2483.5MHz.
Both the GLXD1 transmitter and the GLXD4 receiver feature Shure's LINKFREQ automatic frequency management that allows them to scan for the clearest frequency available and automatically link to each other without any setup required from you besides turning both units on. With their continuous interference monitoring, both the transmitter and receiver automatically switch to the clearest frequencies available to avoid interference and dropouts. The GLXD1 includes a rechargeable battery pack that provides up to 16 hours of operation of a full charge. The system has a 200' range of operation and can be used with 7 other GLX-D systems simultaneously.
A WL185 cardioid lavalier is included for your miking needs. It has a tie clip that can be rotated in 90° intervals for flexibility in placement.
GLXD4 Digital Wireless Receiver (Z2 Band: 2400 - 2483.5 MHz)
The GLXD4 Digital Wireless Receiver from Shure is designed to work with Shure's GLX-D series digital wireless systems. It operates on Shure's Z2 frequency band between 2400 and 2483.5 MHz on a 2.4 GHz ISM wireless band. Shure's proprietary LINKFREQ automatic frequency management, which scans for clearest available frequency range, will automatically link the GLXD4 and a compatible transmitter. The GLXD4 has continuous interference monitoring and will automatically switch frequencies to avoid interference and drop outs. The integrated battery charging station allows you to charge your transmitter when not in use, or a back-up battery pack while in use. Your transmitters remaining battery life is displayed on the GLXD4's front-panel LCD screen. Up to 8 systems can be used simultaneously.
GLXD1 Bodypack Transmitter (Z2 Band: 2400 - 2483.5 MHz)
The GLXD1 Bodypack Transmitter from Shure is designed to work with Shure's GLX-D series digital wireless systems. It operates on Shure's Z2 frequency band between 2400 and 2483.5 MHz on a 2.4 GHz ISM wireless band. The transmitter provides up to a 200' range of operation and features Shure's LINKFREQ automatic frequency management that allows it to automatically link to a GLX-D compatible transmitter without having to perform any setup. It includes a rechargeable battery pack that provides up to 16 hours of performance time per charge. The battery can be recharged with the included USB charger cable. A 15-minute charge can provide up to 1.5 hours of performance time. The GLXD1 has a 4-pin TA4M connector and is compatible with both lavalier microphones as well as instrument cables with a proper adapter.
WL185 Cardioid Lavalier Microphone
The Shure WL185 is a cardioid subminiature lavalier microphone with signal characteristics ideal for general sound reinforcement applications. The cardioid pick up pattern provides adequate rejection of off-axis ambient signal that can cause noise and feedback. The low-profile subminiature design is ideal for applications where the microphone must be concealed. The hardwired 4-foot cable terminates to a 4-pin TA4-female connector which is compatible with Shure wireless transmitters and power supplies.
TA4-Female Connection
The hardwired cable terminates to a TA4-female connection, compatible with Shure wireless microphone transmitters
Full Signal Reproduction
A wide frequency response and high SPL rating results in full, clear audio reproduction for speech
Cardioid Polar Pattern
The cardioid polar pattern effectively minimizes noise and ambiance at the off-axis sections of the capsule, reducing noise and feedback
Subminiature Profile
The miniature capsule is easy to conceal during video, broadcast, stage and sound reinforcement applications
