Great stand, great picture, good features
Reviewed by: Alex
I personally value high contrast and deep blacks so this VA panel monitor was a solid choice for me in terms of picture. I recommend at least comparing IPS and VA panels in person if not seeing this particular model before ordering.
The curve isn't dramatic but again, I personally prefer it.
144 hz is a very nice feature for competitive gaming assuming your rig can output 144+ fps and it is nice and smooth.
24 inches is the optimal size for 1080p monitors due to the pixel density and about as large a monitor as I would want for my small home desk.
The menu and provided colour profiles take some jiggering and getting used to (and I would say there are a number of features that 90% of users won't ever need and may actually degrade their experience if applied inappropriately) but they work well once you're familiar.
The stand is excellent. I was worried about wobble (I can type a little hard and I find a wobbly screen irritating) and chose this monitor in part because it appeared to have a solid stand - I was right. Not to mention, it's very adjustable considering the price range; many monitors under $300 have a little tilt and that's it.
It's nice that it comes with the DisplayPort cable; other companies save a few bucks by skimping on it.
Note that I got this on sale for $230 + taxes, not the full $250, and I really like curved VA panels. There is substantial competition in the $200-$300 range for 144 hz VA & IPS monitors. Do your homework so you can get value for your money and a monitor that suits your eyes.
The tradeoff for the well-made stand is that it's a bit bulky, taking up a decent chunk of real estate, and it's not the prettiest slab of plastic, despite a red highlight at the base and some angular bezels.
Few complaints otherwise. I am coming from a 17 inch laptop that's several years old so this thing looks glorious to me.
Very pleased with the picture and the stand, glad I got a monitor with a curve for myself, what else is there to say? Basically no drawbacks in my book so far.
I can't speak to its longevity in this review since I've only had it for a week.

Good Colour, Quality for Price
Reviewed by: Timothy
Very good quality all around. Asus never disappoints. Switching to DisplayPort over DvId was a big improvement. Curved screen was sweet. Two extra hdmi ports for something..lol
Plus customer care for making sure everyone coming in sanitizes and wears a mask as well as their great customer service, makes spending my money easy!
Also, they have always answered or added tips for the products I've bought. Thank you.
The less expensive end of Asus cuts down on sound quality. No problem if you have a nice sound system already.
