Good Motherboard - awful chipset fan

Lots of USB 3 ports Easy to set up Dual CPU power for overclocking
No USB 2 ports on back which could be a real problem if your case does not have a USB 2 connector and you need USB 2 for backwards compatibility. That chipset fan is horrible. It runs at 100% ALL THE TIME even when your machine is in idle. There is no bios setting to control it, nor see the chipset temperature. It's a high drone vs normal fans and is very very irritating. I've waited through 2 bios updates but ASUS seems not to care enough to give us any control like other x570 MB manufacturers have.
If it weren't for the chipset fan, I'd be happy. If you are irritated by noise, stay far away from this board. You may be able to get a "quiet" case or place it somewhere where you can't hear it as loudly, or play music all the time, but mine is 10 feet away and still wears me down over time. In fact, I'm spending $$$ to buy a Gigabyte x570 board that allows you to turn off their chipset fan at idle.

Excellent motherboard

easy installation, easy to update the bios from with the windows desktop or from the BIOS. Very quiet, I've read reviews that suggest loud noises from the motherboard fans but I have not noticed it.
The bios seems a little slow to respond to my mouse pointer. Then Armory crate ASUS gets you to download for driver support, although working, is unnecessary bloatware. PLASTIC CD included in box, can't be repurposed for other use and goes straight to the land fill, not including it would have been a plus (it's 2020 ASUS we can do better!)
Impressed with board function and quality not impressed by Armory crate or the inclusion a physical cdrom.
