Great looking laptop despite the flaws

This is a good looking laptop with an awful lot going for it. The new Intel 11th gen processor does a great job and the nvidea RTX3060 will give you gaming bliss all for a cost that doesn’t break the bank.

The control software is flaky, to the point it needs a complete rewrite. The computer doesn’t remember the keyboard colour settings and defaults to a bright rainbow wave effect that makes using the keyboard in public impractical. The AI mode for cpu/gpu boost likes to kick I randomly thinking that for example opening a web browser means you want creative mode so back to the rainbow keyboard and your cooling fans ramp up to full blast . It also is supposed to help to keep your drivers updated, but it hangs at 20% download so you need to reboot the laptop 5 times to install a single driver. Windows comes with unlimited bloatware like office365 loaded in 11 different languages that you need to uninstall individually (great fun with foreign languages) because every gamer want to use office. And because it’s windows10 21H1 you are forced to use a Microsoft login account to setup the laptop. No option for a local account.

Once you’ve wasted the first 18 hours getting the laptop cleaned out, setup and reconfigured it’s a blast. Great fast laptop for your gaming needs. Great value for your money.
