Excellent adapter.

The newer versions (v2 and v3) no longer us Atheros Chipset.

Special note for Linux users that need Atheros chipset.
TP-LINK TL-WN722N verion 1.x uses Atheros chipset
TP-LINK TL-WN722N verion 2 uses Realtek chipset
TP-LINK TL-WN722N verion 3 uses Realtek chipset

I just got this today and have been using it for several hours. As this is my first time buying a wireless usb adapter, i did not know what to expect. Also, i have been using a wired Ethernet connection before. However, this thing exceeded my expectations (I have really high expectations for networking speeds), it gave me the exact same ping as i had wired, and slightly lower download and upload speeds (1-2 mbps, nothing too big but it is expected when switching from wired to wireless). So performance wise, i would give this thing a 5/5, looks, it looks like it is made from good quality material, the usb cap slides in really nicely so i would give it a 5/5,
