Very compact and great performance. Would recommend for an external dvd solution. Could use longer than 1ft cable though. I had to buy two 3ft extensions.

Simple to install - used an usb extender cable from CC to allow the dual usb connector to reach the single USB port on each side of my Dell laptop

The entire process was very smooth. I sort of knew what I wanted so that part was taken care. The interactions with Benjamin and Alex was second to none. They were professional and proficient. I would definitely shop here again. BTW, I bought the writer because my new ASUS laptop does not have one.

Nice Product but no versatile stand

Sleek look, nice design.

I purchased this DVD writer for my ZBOX. i found out it doesn't come with the versatile stand showing in the ASUS web site. I have limited desktop space, can't live without stand, has to return. http://ca.asus.com/en/Optical_Storage/External_Slim_DVD_Drive/SDRW08D2SU/

A good drive, the reason i rated 3 it doesn't come with a stand.

Stylish, Great at Burning Dual Layer and DVD-+ Rs

Not Stable On Stand

This is a great burner which i specially ordered. It works great, I use it to burn movies with ConvertXtoDVD4 and I copied 50 PS2 Games with no problem! (Backups ;P) Shipped overnight so the day my money was processed, the next day Fed-Ex was at my door! Awesome!
