NOTE-Nexus 5 users expect to get Homesoft app Nexus Media Importer (if no root) for approximately $4.50 from Google Play Store

Bought the media card reader to read/copy from CF cards to my Nexus 5. Using the above three listed items (Media Card Reader, USB OTG Cable, Homesoft Nexus Media Importer) everything works 110%.

Very slick system/workflow for taking photos using an older Nikon D200 and need instant access in the field.

Just so happens to be the only cable available in a brick and mortar store in London Ontario.

Does not work as OTG

This was actually in stock. This adapter is incredably hard to find in a bricks and morter store.

Does not work as an OTG cable. I had been doing a lot of research about this. When I finally found I could buy one locally I jumped at the chance, but it does not work as an OTG. I sliced open the cover on the micro port, and found that pin4 and pin5 were not soldered together (this is what makes it recognized by the device as OTG). There wasn't even a tab to solder pin4 to. It was totally missing. This can't be made to work, short of putting a new Micro USB end on it.

You are better off to buy a short USB extension cable and make your own USB OTG cable.
