Seems to be a good card ... but

Chipset drivers provided with this card interfere with operation of some motherboards.

The drivers included and used for this card, and the Orico equivalent, are VIA chipset drivers. If you have a motherboard (Gigabyte GA-800 in my case) that has onboard USB3 using Intel chips and drivers, adding these VIA drivers will a) kill your on board USB ports, and b) prevent your computer from shutting down.
Fortunately the included manual explains how to un-install these VIA drivers. In my case, I had to re-install my Intel drivers from my m/b CD.
I assume if your m/b has VIA chipset for the USB ports, there should be no issues. This would also explain why some people have issues with the card, and some don't ... it's a compatibility issue.
